Developed after 15 years of Itemiser systems reliably protecting travelers at leading global aviation hubs, [Itemiser 4DX](http://www.morpho.com/en/aviation-border-security/detect-threats/etd-explosives-trace-detectors/itemiser-4dx) quickly detects and identifies trace amounts of explosives on skin, clothing, carried items, bags, vehicles and other surfaces.   “Working with growing airports to meet evolving security challenges and regulatory mandates is at the core of Morpho’s commitment for more than 20 years,” said Karen Bomba, president and CEO, [Morpho Detection](http://www.morpho.com/detection/?lang=en). “The detection and operational capabilities of Itemiser 4DX, combined with Morpho’s rapid-response global service teams, helps airport operators and security directors achieve the highest levels of system uptime and performance.”       Powered by a non-radioactive ITMS™ (Ion Trap Mobility Spectrometer) source, [Itemiser 4DX](http://www.morpho.com/detection/see-all-products/trace-detection/itemiser-r-4dx/) eliminates the administrative, regulatory, storage and shipping requirements associated with a radiation-emitting trace detection source. [Itemiser 4DX](http://www.morpho.com/detection/see-all-products/trace-detection/itemiser-r-4dx/) is designed to minimize operational costs for airports and air cargo facilities, law enforcement agencies and government and critical infrastructure installations.   Currently approved for passenger and cargo screening by UK Department for Transport (DfT) and throughout European Civil Aviation Conference’s (ECAC) 44 member nations, more than 800 Itemiser 4DX ETD have been shipped to airports throughout Europe. More than 23,000 Morpho ETD systems have been supplied to airports, air cargo facilities, law enforcement agencies and secure locations worldwide.   For more information on Morpho Detection’s products, visit [www.morphodetection.com](https://www.morphodetection.com).    \* \* \* \* \* **About Morpho Detection** In an increasingly dangerous world, there's no time for downtime.
